So Long and Thanks for All the Ice!

We set our alarms before sunrise to ensure we would be able to tick off the last few miles of our Lake Winnipeg training trip before the shuttle arrived to pick us up.

It was easy to pack up and get moving. After all, we had been traveling on the ice for five days now; however, none of us were in a rush to end our adventure as we slowly skied to our cabin.

Each us of us will go our separate ways from here. Tim back to London. Darcy to Ottawa. Joseph is heading to Jackson, Wyoming for a ski trip. Pierre will stay in Winnipeg where he is enrolled in University and I am driving home.

In the end, we became a cohesive team, but I wasn't really surprised. That is how this course is supposed to go - from the first tentative ski strides to leading and navigating on the ice. I love teaching this Level 1 Polar Training course.

Obviously, there's more I could say, but you'll have to come next year and find out for yourself :) Image: Happy Feet!
