Mari Cha IV
08 October 2003
Mari Cha IV is attempting to rewrite sailing history by becoming the first monohull ever to sail across the atlantic ocean in under 8 days. If they achieve this, the Mari-Cha team will capture what is the most historic speed record in sailing. The transatlatic speed record was first set in 1905 when the famous American, Charlie Barr sailed his yacht Atlantic from the US to the UK in 12 days, 4 hours and 1 minute. \n\nExpedition Site\n
