They are in the midst of some "screw ice." Had one big pressure ridge today which took some time. They are really hoping for warmer temperatures. This cold makes it extremely hard to do everything. Even with taking the stove pumps to bed at night it still takes a couple hours in the AM to get the stove going and 1.5 hours in the evening. It takes about 1.5 hours of skiing in the AM to warm the toes and an hour of skiing to warm the hands. Everyone is safe, and good. Just hoping for warmer weather.
