Hi Roz... yah, that's the right attitude. I used to have to remind myself of that on the bike; the trick was to get in the habit of pretending that I had never heard the question before, brightening and answering with enthusiasm when someone asked what I do in the rain or how fast it goes. Always opened doors, and softened anyone with an aggressive tone. Mmm ... reminds me of back when I used to work on cruise ships. Then, the question was always ... "how does my daughter /niece /granddaughter /other related female ... get a job like yours?". Thanks, Roger, for the eating recommendation. "Nuttin' Special" was, in fact, quite special. The food was good, but even better for me as a foreigner was the opportunity to see cowboys swaggering in for their bacon and eggs.

Steve - very interesting question. I'm sure it could be interpreted as a sign of our times (who is in charge - us or the computers?) or as a query into your philosophical quest... or there again, maybe it was just a dumb question!!
